Short answer: the confirmed data set now includes your avatar and eleven official partners: Iori, Wyzeman, Zash, Musoh, Argo, Kirito, Asuna, Agil, Klein, Lisbeth and Silica. This page tracks what is official today and leaves partner skills blank until we can verify them from retail play.
Launch-week data boundary. Partner names and many weapon types are official. Recruitment order, partner-specific Support Skills, Combination Skills and late-game availability are not fully verified yet. We are not turning franchise lore into fake game data.
The big change: partners are confirmed, not teased
Our old database treated Kirito, Asuna and Argo as confirmed appearances with unknown recruitability. That was correct before Bandai Namco published the full character pages, but it is now obsolete. The official roster places them under Partners, alongside original characters and other Aincrad-era regulars.
That change matters for SEO and for readers. A "character list" is now too vague; players will search for recruitable partners, weapons, support skills and best pairings. This database is the hub for that cluster, and each row is written to support later expansion without inventing today's missing details.

Your Avatar
| Role | Protagonist — player-created |
|---|---|
| Status | Confirmed (you build them) |
| Affiliation | One of the ~10,000 players trapped when the castle sealed |
| Weapon | Any of the six weapon types — your choice |
| Recruitable | N/A — this is you |
Every other SAO game handed you Kirito. This one hands you a character sheet. Your avatar's stat direction, weapon class and partner choice are the build that carries forward, so the first strategic decision is not which legend to follow - it is who you become.
Customization covers appearance, Growth Points across the seven attributes (Strength, Dexterity, Agility, Intelligence, Vitality, Endurance, Mind), weapon class and partner choice.

Iori
| Role | Partner — Sword & Shield |
|---|---|
| Status | Confirmed partner |
| Affiliation | A solo swordswoman; your acquaintance from the closed beta, trapped alongside you |
| Weapon | Sword & Shield |
| Recruitable | Yes — confirmed partner |
Iori is the demo's proof-of-concept for the partner system. Watch how she holds aggro, when Combination Skills line up with your openings, and how Switch buys you stamina, and you have learned the mechanic the full roster is built around.
Bandai Namco lists Iori in the official Partners roster. Demo walkthroughs also show her accompanying the player through the opening.

Wyzeman
Wyzeman is an official partner and veteran adventurer whose Mace & Shield kit points toward steadier, shield-compatible play.
| Role | Partner — Mace & Shield |
|---|---|
| Status | Confirmed partner |
| Affiliation | A famous veteran adventurer |
| Weapon | Mace & Shield |
| Recruitable | Yes — confirmed partner |
Wyzeman's Mace & Shield label immediately marks him as a steadier partner candidate. Until we verify skills, do not call him a tank - but the weapon pairing is the first place shield-minded players should look.
Official character details confirm the weapon and veteran-adventurer framing; partner-specific skills still need in-game verification.

Zash
Zash is an official partner and front-line swordsman, framed by Bandai Namco as the strongest player in the beta.
| Role | Partner — Two-handed Sword |
|---|---|
| Status | Confirmed partner |
| Affiliation | Front-line swordsman; considered the strongest player in the beta |
| Weapon | Two-handed Sword |
| Recruitable | Yes — confirmed partner |
Zash is the roster's swagger pick: official copy frames him as the strongest beta player, and the Two-handed Sword implies commitment-heavy damage. The ranking is Bandai Namco's framing, not a community tier list.
The strength claim is official character-page framing, not our own ranking. Exact partner skills and recruitment timing still need verification.

Musoh
Musoh appears in Bandai Namco's official Partners roster, but the public character detail available to us does not yet include a weapon or biography.
| Role | Partner — details pending |
|---|---|
| Status | Confirmed partner (details pending) |
| Affiliation | Official Partners roster |
| Weapon | Unpublished |
| Recruitable | Yes — listed in the official Partners roster |
Musoh's partner status is official, and that is exactly what this row commits to. We list the weapon, skills or biography for a character once the game or Bandai Namco confirms them, not before - so Musoh's entry states what is known and holds the rest until it is verified. That restraint is the standard every row here is held to.
Kept intentionally sparse: the name and partner status are official; weapon, role and skills are not filled in until a reliable source publishes them.

Kirito
For the first time you meet the franchise's icon from the outside. Bandai Namco now lists Kirito in the official Partners roster.
| Role | Partner — Sword |
|---|---|
| Status | Confirmed partner |
| Affiliation | Beater / solo player of the Aincrad era |
| Weapon | Sword |
| Recruitable | Yes — confirmed partner |
Kirito moving from 'confirmed to appear' to confirmed partner is the biggest database correction. The important restraint: the official weapon here is Sword. Dual-wielding is franchise expectation, not a confirmed partner mechanic for this game.
His partner status and sword weapon are official. Any dual-wielding expectations are franchise lore unless shown in this game's partner kit.
Asuna
The Lightning Flash is now listed in the official Partners roster with the Rapier, turning a fan expectation into confirmed game data.
| Role | Partner — Rapier |
|---|---|
| Status | Confirmed partner |
| Affiliation | Knights of the Blood, vice-commander (Aincrad era) |
| Weapon | Rapier |
| Recruitable | Yes — confirmed partner |
Asuna's Rapier confirmation gives the roster its cleanest weapon-fantasy match. If partner choice ends up shaping pace and openings, she is the one Rapier players will immediately test.
Partner status and weapon are official; specific skills and recruitment timing still need in-game verification.
Argo
Argo 'the Rat', the famous information broker, is now an official Dagger partner — a natural fit for a game built on quests and discovery.
| Role | Partner — Dagger |
|---|---|
| Status | Confirmed partner |
| Affiliation | The Aincrad arc's information broker, 'the Rat' |
| Weapon | Dagger |
| Recruitable | Yes — confirmed partner |
Argo's Dagger confirmation is quietly perfect. The Rat sells information, and a quest-heavy RPG about maps, ranks and discoveries gives that role more gameplay relevance than a cameo would.
Partner status and Dagger weapon are official. Exact support skills and recruitment timing still need in-game verification.
Agil
Agil joins the official Partners roster with a Two-handed Axe, matching his long-running role as the heavy-hitting ally with a practical streak.
| Role | Partner — Two-handed Axe |
|---|---|
| Status | Confirmed partner |
| Affiliation | Aincrad-era merchant and front-line ally |
| Weapon | Two-handed Axe |
| Recruitable | Yes — confirmed partner |
Agil as a Two-handed Axe partner is tidy design: practical, heavy and direct. The useful question for retail testing is whether his support kit leans survival, damage windows or economy-adjacent utility.
Weapon and partner status are official. Character background is series context; specific in-game skills still need verification.

Klein
Klein is an official Sword partner, giving the roster one of Aincrad's most reliable early allies.
| Role | Partner — Sword |
|---|---|
| Status | Confirmed partner |
| Affiliation | Fuurinkazan guild leader and Aincrad survivor |
| Weapon | Sword |
| Recruitable | Yes — confirmed partner |
Klein gives the roster another Sword partner, which makes him a future comparison point against Kirito rather than a mere fan-service slot. Shared weapon type means support kit and tactics have to do the differentiating.
Partner status and weapon are official. Guild context is series background; recruitment timing and skill list still need verification.

Lisbeth
Lisbeth is an official Mace partner, bringing the series' blacksmith into the combat roster rather than leaving her as background flavor.
| Role | Partner — Mace |
|---|---|
| Status | Confirmed partner |
| Affiliation | Aincrad-era blacksmith |
| Weapon | Mace |
| Recruitable | Yes — confirmed partner |
Lisbeth being a Mace partner is more interesting than a shop cameo. If the game ties partner identity to crafting, upgrades or defensive support, she becomes more than nostalgia.
Weapon and partner status are official. Blacksmith context is series background; in-game partner skills still need verification.

Silica
Silica is an official Dagger partner, adding the series' beast-tamer favorite to the confirmed combat roster.
| Role | Partner — Dagger |
|---|---|
| Status | Confirmed partner |
| Affiliation | Aincrad-era beast tamer |
| Weapon | Dagger |
| Recruitable | Yes — confirmed partner |
Silica's Dagger role overlaps with Argo on weapon type, so the unanswered question is whether Pina or support behavior gives her a separate identity. Until confirmed, keep the beast-tamer angle as lore context, not mechanics.
Weapon and partner status are official. Beast-tamer context is series background; whether Pina affects mechanics still needs verification.

What this database does not claim yet
- No partner tier list until retail skills, cooldowns and support behavior are verified.
- No recruitment walkthrough until we can confirm the actual steps.
- No invented skill names, damage values or hidden passives.
- No assumption that franchise abilities, pets or dual-wielding automatically exist as partner mechanics here.
The partner system ties the cast together
Characters in Echoes of Aincrad are not just story furniture. One partner fights beside you, helps manage pressure, and brings Support Skills and Combination Skills into the action wheel. That means two partners with the same weapon may still play differently once their skill kits are known. The database will eventually need partner-specific pages; for now, the hub keeps the confirmed roster clean.
What we're watching for
- Retail recruitment order for each partner.
- Partner-specific Support Skills and Combination Skills.
- Musoh's weapon and public biography.
- Whether same-weapon partners meaningfully differ in tactics.
- Post-patch balance changes that alter partner value.
